As a Service Delivery Specialist, you represent IBM to our customers. You will be proactive in identifying problems, altering procedures, and addressing issues to ensure customers’ satisfaction.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In the role of Network Engineer, you will be required to be working on Networking solutions or solutions that use any hardware or operating software (i.e. vendors non-agnostic) with minimal or no assistance from your superiors. E.g. include skills in routers/switches or Load balancers. Examples of other items to be delivered would be the deployment, management and implementation of solutions for networking to meet the business needs of clients. It is necessary to go to the client’s domestic offices or data centres regularly or on occasion in the course of your job. Responsibilities:

  • Technical inputs to monthly reviews of customer service and for the development of Service Improvement Plans
  • Check the queue regularly and provide regular updates of the Tickets in accordance with the time frame agreed upon and provide a detailed closing of the tickets.
  • Expertise and experience regarding Incidents and Change Service requests, Problem and Configuration Management processes.
  • Monitor, control, and fix (remotely or in conjunction with OEM with support from the field team) and report on all issues with network equipment in various client sites across India.
  • Write a daily report on the events and then publish the report.
  • Check process compliance, adherence and continuous Improvement.
  • Examining the measurements and then escalating for any deviations that can be discovered.
  • You must demonstrate leadership in technical areas and must have previous experience in teamwork and conflict resolution, process improvement, and the growth of the business.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 1-2 years of working experience as an engineer in Network Security on the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of Firewalls, load balancers and WAF
  • A good understanding of Firewalls: Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Juniper and IPS
  • Implementation and troubleshooting of Site for Site VPN (IPSEC VPN
  • A5 Load Balancing Systems Citrix Netscaler and WAF Imperva expertise and work experience will be an added benefit.
  • Tuning the performance of Network devices
  • The assigned tickets will be worked on within the agreed-upon Timeline/SLA in accordance with the priority of the ticket and adhere to the ITIL process without a single non-compliance.
